Profile:

received the B. Eng. degree from Xi'an Highway University, Xi'an, China, in 1998, the M.S. degree from the Gansu University of Technology, Lanzhou, China, in 2001, and the Ph.D. degree from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an China, in 2005. He was an associate research with the Biometrics Center, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong from 2006 to 2007. From 2015 to 2016, he was a visiting scholar with the department of computer science, The University of Texas at Arlington, Arlington USA. He is currently a professor with the School of Telecommunications Engineering, Xidian University, and also a key member of State Key Laboratory of Integrated Services Networks. He has authored around 100 technical articles in refereed journals and proceedings, including IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, NeurIPS, CVPR, AAAI, and IJCAI. His current research interests include pattern recognition, Multimodal data analysis, data mining, few-shot learning, Generative AI and machine learning.

  • 多(跨)模态数据表正及分析,小(零)样本学习,目标检测与标注,模式识别与人工智能等基础算法研究

Research Group

团队面向新一代信息技术国家重大需求和国际学术前沿,主要研究复杂数据的维数约简和海量多源异构数据的表示、融合和理解,将非结构化信息处理问题从特征层、结构层和认知层三个层次进行深入分析,重点解决大数据产业中存在数据结构复杂、噪音潜隐、模态异构和典型场景数据稀缺等瓶颈约束。实验室现有华山学者菁英副教授2名,副教授1名.

  团队在国家自然基金、军科委基础加强、国家/国防重点实验室课题、省基础研究重点项目等20余项课题资助下,在国际、国内核心期刊和核心会议发表学术论文100余篇,其中在IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TIP, IEEE TNNLS,IEEE T Cybernetics等 IEEE汇刊发表学术论文30余篇,CFF A类会议20余篇。
 
   团队获得育人成果好评奖,2名导师获得省部级、校级优秀指导导师;研究生1人获得省级优秀博士毕业生,25人次获得国家奖学金,25人获优秀研究生称号,优秀硕士学位获得者4名,2名博士研究生获优秀博士学位论文资助。省部级优秀博士学位论文1篇,已毕业博士王前前博士获得2020年度石青云女科学家奖,谢德燕博士发表的论文获得F5000等。

    团队尽最大努力给学生提供良好的科研平台和实验环境,鼓励学生多参加国际交流和学术活动,近三年7人次研究生参加人工智能国际顶级会议,团队研究生与美国匹兹堡大学黄恒教授、美国东北大学付昀教授、得克萨斯大学阿灵顿分校丁宏强教授等在模式识别、多模态学习、数据挖掘的数学理论研究方面建立了长期稳定的合作关系。
