Dr. Yao Danyang, Huashan prospective associate professor at the School of Microelectronics, Xidian University. In 2010, received a bachelor degree in major of microelectronics in Xidian University. In 2015, Ph.D graduated from the Institute of Semiconductors of Chinese Academy of Sciences, then, he joined All Optics Lab, Central Research Insititute (CRI) of Huawei Technologies Co Ltd. with accumulating rich experience in developing silicon optics, silicon-based MEMS all-optical switching chips. During the periods in Huawei, he won outstanding performance (3A) and twice the President's Award of Academia of CRI. In 2020, he joined the team of Academician Hao Yue to continue the research of InP-based active and silicon-based passive optoelectronic devices. He was the researcher who firstly realized the mid and far infrared grating-coupled surface emitting laser which could work in continues wave mode at room temperature and maintained the peak power records, and successively developed 32×32, 64×64 and 400× 400 all-optical switching core chips. Currently his research focuses on the silicon-based neuromorphic photonics integrated circuit (PIC), neuron mimic semiconductor lasers and optoelectronics integration technology. He presides over 1 National Natural Science Foundation Youth Project, participates in a number of National Natural Science Foundation, key projects and 973 projects. He has published more than 20 papers in journals such as APL, OE, IEEE PTL, and authorized 9 Chinese patents, applied for 2 US patents, and applied for 1 European patent.
