学院注重科学研究，特别是跨学科交叉研究。近五年，主持科研项目100余项，科研经费1900余万，其中国家自然科学基金73项；发表SCI检索论文400篇左右，入选ESI全球热点论文1篇（全校惟一），ESI高被引论文17篇（全校共70篇），部分成果发表在相关领域的顶级和权威期刊，如《Advances in Mathematics》、《Transactions of the American Mathematical Society》、《Calculus of Variations and Partial Differential Equations》、《Journal of Algebra》、《 Journal of Differential Equations》、《SIAM Journal on Financial Mathematics》、《IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks》、《IEEE  Transactions on Signal Processing》、《Inverse problem》、《Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications》等；多项研究成果获奖，包括陕西省科技一等奖3项、二等奖1项。学院无论按个人还是学院或二级学科，对全校SCI论文和优势学科ESI排名均有显著贡献。
